Chateau des Coccinelles is located at the southern end of Frances Rhone valley, between the famous Pont du Gard aqueduct and the Pont dAvignon.
The estate covers an area of 80 ha (198 acres) that are situated on the Signargues plateau, an excellent terroir possessing an exceptional geological pedigree.
With south/south-east exposure, this ancient Rhone riverbed is covered by the same rolled river stones or galets as its prestigious neighbour, Chateauneuf-du-Pape and is exposed to the strong Mistral winds 200 days per year. But the terroirs renown is due to the composition of the soil, which contains more clay deep down than at the surface. This assures the vines a water supply and a buffer zone during the hot, dry summers and plays a big role in the finesse and balance of the wines.
