Son of a Chablis winemaker, Stéphane Brocard settled in Marsannay in 2007 to found Maison Stéphane Brocard. As a wine négociant, he is both a producer of his own brand, Closerie des Alisiers, and distributor of a wide range of estate-bottled wines. In addition to the vineyards he owns in Pommard and the ancient winemaking village of Daix, Stéphane works with the same growers on the same plots year after year in order to offer wines in fitting with his philosophy : fresh and pure wines that respect the environment and are an authentic expression of the terroir and the grape varietal from which they were created. His goal is to showcase the diversity of the Burgundian terroirs through the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
Between our own brand, Closerie des Alisiers, and the estate-bottled wines of our partners, we offer a vast array of wines, primarily from Burgundy. Including regional, Villages, Premier Cru and Grand Cru appellations, from Chablis to Mâcon and passing by all the major appellations of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits along the way, the full diversity of the terroirs of Burgundy is represented. We also offer a selection of certifiied organic wines.
Our wines are regularly well rated by the international press and competitions (Wine Enthusiast, Jancis Robinson, Gilbert & Gaillard, Bettane & Desseauve, Burgondia, Feminalise). A few examples : Pouilly Fuissé 2014 Closerie (91, Wine Enthusiast), Gevrey Chambertin 2014 Closerie (92, Wine Enthusiast), Mâcon Milly Lamartine 2015 Closerie (16/20, Jancis Robinson), Chambolle Musigny 2014 Closerie (16,5/20, Jancis Robinson), Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015 Closerie (OR, Gilbert & Gaillard), Bourgogne Chardonnay Bio 2014 Closerie (Coup de Coeur, Bettane), Chablis 2016 Closerie (OR, Feminalise), Bourgogne Chardonnay 2016 Closerie (BRONZE, Burgondia).
