Domaine du Petit Clocher is run by the 4th generation of winemakers, and is a family estate of 85 hectares of vines created in 1920. We are situated in the Loire Valley, in the heart of the Anjou at Clere sur Layon.
We cultivate the vines by using a balanced and lasting approach. Our schist based soils allow us to produce An jou, Anjou Villages, Anjou Blanc, Cabernet d'Anjou, Rosé d'Anjou, Rosé de Loire, Crémant de Loire, Coteaux du Layon and two varietal wines, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
Our wines are expressive, supple and balanced and are regularly honoured by the "Guide Hachette des Vins", the specialist press and various wine competitions, such as the "Concours Général de Paris". In 2013, our Anjou Rouge was awarded the best French wine under 8€ by the Hachette Wine Guide.
Our annual production of 300000 bottles is destined for both the French market and a dozen countries around the world, including Russia, America and Germany.
We have moved in a new cellar since April 2016, the 1st.
