Lake Chalice 'The Falcon' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017
The majority of fruit for this wine was sourced from the mature vines in our loam rich Talon block in Dillons Point. Upon harvesting, all grapes are transported and pressed without delay to minimise skin contact and retain freshness. Cool fermented in stainless steel for added vibrancy and crispness.

Lake Chalice 'The Raptor' Marlborough Chardonnay 2016
Sourced exclusively from the Reed Vineyard from predominantly hand-picked fruit to deliver whole bunch for added complexity Fermented in a selected new and seasoned French oak barriques with more than 80% from activated wild yeast. 10 months secondary malo-fermentation before maturing on light lees.
A full bodied Chardonnay with flavours of nectarine, brioche and hazelnut with lifted toasty notes and an underlying spicy touch. The nose is aromatic and lifted and the palate elegant and creamy with well-balanced acidity that leads to a warm lingering finish.
Lake Chalice 'The Raptor' Marlborough Pinot Noir 2015
The Raptor Pinot Noir 2015 comes solely from our own Eyrie Vineyard in the lower Waihopai Valley. It is a hand-picked selection of Clone 115 Pinot Noir. These 15 year old vines were pruned to 2 canes and the crop level carefully monitored. The grapes were fermented in 5000 litre open top vats to allow maximum hand plunging. Pressed and racked into barrels for a full malo-lactic secondary fermentation and 11 months aging. The final blend is made up of 11 selected Tonnellerie Mercurey and François Frères French oak 225 litre barriques. The wine was egg white fined prior to bottling.
Intense blackberry, plum and cherry fruits mingle with delicate lifted floral notes on the nose and flowing through to hints of coffee on the palate. All well supported by fine grained oak tannins.
Lake Chalice 'The Nest' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017
The fruit for this wine is sourced from selected vineyards across Marlboroughs central Wairau Valley and machine harvested in the cool of the night in order to retain fresh fruit character. Pressed off with minimal skin contact before cool fermented in stainless steel from selected yeasts.
Clear pale straw with lifted green lines supported with fresh passionfruit and blackcurrant bud on the nose. The palate delivers ripe citrus zest with gooseberry and passionfruit bordered by green aromatics and a balanced acidity.
