LE GRILLAIE RISERVA
2013 VINTAGE FEATURES
The year 2013 was characterized by good precipitations and just the right heat summation with good temperature ranges.
The grapes were collected in late September, when we had some precipitation that, in certain cases, caused some botrytis attack.

But, traditionally we have always been collecting by hand, and this allowed us to select the best grapes to produce a wine always rising any occasion.

LE GRILLAIE
2016 VINTAGE FEATURES
The grapes were harvested from the third to the fourth week of September in perfect health conditions and arrived to the right ripeness through a seasonal course which was characterized by the alternation of light rains and sunny days.
A constant ventilation coming from the seaside has mitigated the temperatures even in July, usually a hot and dry month.
A good phenolic maturity of the skins allowed us to have a good color extraction with elegant and polished tannins.
The evolution in the bottle will surely not betray our expectations and will develop the bouquet, which is not fully expressed yet.

I CROPPI
2016 VINTAGE FEATURES
The seasonal course was particularly favourable for the development of the terpenic and aromatic parts of the Albana grapes, with an important acidity and well balanced by a small sugar residual.
Compared to the 2015 vintage, where the characteristics were more meditterranean, this 2016 vintage is more Nordic, I almost dare to say Alsacian, with a beautiful intense golden colour, at the nose yellow flowers and apricot scents.
The taste expresses warmth, character, yet persuasive, indispensable companion of cold meats and cheeses of the Emilia Romagna tradition.

About us

Company details

Established in 1963, it belongs to the families Sirri and Casadei (nicknamed Bron and Rusèval) since 1965. In 1985 they start renovating all the vinification systems, and achieving a new company philosophy: the continuous pursuit of quality and of the wine typicalness. In 1995 the company develops the agricultural section by buying and planting new vineyards.

At present we carefully select grapes coming from 30 ha of vineyards located in the most vocated areas of Bertinoro municipality, most of all from the farm “La Maestrina” in Casticciano, Tenuta La Massa in Massa, Campi di Fratta in Fratta Terme, Campi di Bracciano in Bracciano.
