Winemakers Notes: “Don Maximiano 2015 is dense, muscular and refined. Dark and rich in color with aromas of licorice, fresh red berries like raspberries, cherries and strawberry, accompanied by soft tones of chocolate and nutmeg. While still distinctively focused, the wine is all about fruit intensity, with notes of cedar and dried cherry, currant and cardamom. With firm tannins in balance with black fruit flavors and bright acidity, the 2015 Don Maximiano is powerful, dense, yet beautifully balanced and precise.”

Winemakers Notes Grapes were hand-picked in the early morning between February 27th and March 2nd in small boxes and carefully transported to the winery, where they were destemmed, crushed and pressed to best preserve their natural acidity. Then, the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in the lees for three months, ensuring multiple layers of aromas and flavors.

Winemakers Notes: The 2015 vintage of our MAX Cabernet Sauvignon displays a bright ruby red color with violet hues. On the nose, aromas of red fruits, tobacco, cherries and a soft spicy note, along with dill and peppermint, are all framed by elegant notes of nuts, chocolate and cloves. The palate delivers sour cherry, raspberry and a fresh blueberry note, followed by chocolate and nutmeg hints, plus a soft reminiscent of the roasted coffee bean. A long and juicy wine, with a refreshing acidity, marked by its freshness, tension, elegance all around the palate, and its fine grained tannins, ending in pleasant and long finish.
