The “Tenuta del Priore”, through its farm property, disposes of 40 hectares of vineyards planted on steep hills that form a large amphitheater around a small artificial lake as a proscenium. The vineyards, all with against-espaliers systems, are planted 80% in red varieties, principally Montepulciano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon but also; almost all the space devoted to white grapes is given over Trebbiano, which thrives in this habitat, Pecorino and Passerina. The firm, built in the early seventies and recently restructured, is located on a terrace overlooking the vineyards; here there are also, in addiction to offices, the winery for vinification and cellars for aging wines. The warm climate, typically Mediterranean, is mitigated by the cool breezes of Adriatic sea and by the dry winds of local mountains. Those air currents favor an exceptional concentration of body and fruit in the wines.
