About us

Company details

The family history is intertwined with that of Abruzzo's viticulture ever since.
With the passing of years and generations, passion and determination are never missed. The experience of the past has continued with family dedication. Ettore, has emphasized technological innovation, gaining both grape harvest and wine production. Coming from northern Italy, the Galasso family has settled in Abruzzo since the late 17th century. The patriarchal family has always worked in the production of extra virgin olive oil, fruit and grapes. From the1960s, the family has undergone a complete change in its organization by dividing the business into various sectors.

A privately owned winery located in Loreto Aprutino
Cantine Galasso is a privately owned winery located in Loreto Aprutino, Abruzzo Region, in one of the most qualified areas for vine growing. Main wine, from our area and from our winery, is Montepulciano d’Abruzzo doc (and doc RISERVA). We also grow a good number of other well known varietals. We control full process: from vineyards to bottle. The large availability of selected grapes, the use of most updated technology in the winery and the support of highly recognized professionals make Cantine Galasso one of the most significant wine producers in the area. The winery currently produces 3.000.000 bottles per year (from approx 220 ha of which 120 owned vineyards and 100 controlled) These are grape varietals we grow: Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Trebbiano, Pecorino, Chardonnay

The elements of our tradition are: Air, Sun, Passion.
