The Boutique Winery of El Barrio de la Estación
With an annual production of less than 250.000 bottles, Gómez Cruzado is an historical house where the utmost attention is given to every last detail, as well as te typicity of wines from this region.
Founded in 1886, Gómez Cruzado is a century-old cellar that has shapped the history of Haro and Rioja since the late 19th century.
Currently the winery is run by the tandem of David González and Juan Antonio Leza, two Riojan winemakers and viticulture technicians. They have been advising the company since 2008.
Gómez Cruzado remains faithful to its founding principles of creating fine Rioja wines, while at the same time exploring the expressions of the varied vineyards from different plots of the D.O.Ca. Rioja. The quality of the wines is the sum of many mall details. All these seemingly minor details add up and are each a necessity. Therefore, the winery takes great care of the grapes, which are subject to a meticulous and detailed selection process.
