ANTHOS 2006

 The Jewel of the Crown. Individual cases for this author wine. Powerful and elegant after more than 28 months in the bottle.
It is harvested by hand in early October in 15 kilos boxes. The grapes come from vines of Rioja Alta planted between 1905 and 1920. For this wine , we selected   3,500 kilos of grapes from our vineyards .

 Aged in New French oak barrels for about 28 months depending on the evolution and features of the vintage in ordet to keep its fruity aroma.

 Variety: Tempranillo and Graciano
Alcohol: 14,00% by volumen

LIVIUS WHITE OAK FERMENTED 2008

The grapes used to produce this wine come from Viura and Malvasia vines planted between 1903 and 1907. Grapes are hand-harvested in 15 kg plastic boxes.
Bunches are selected one by one on the grape sorting table. Afterwards, they are destemmed and crushed and transferred to stainless steel truncated cone deposits.
The juice is cold pre-fermented for 24 hours to extract a maximum number of fruity aromas. A vertical press is used and the must is fermented and aged in new French and Hungarian oak barrels where the lees are stirred for 6 months.

Intense gold colour with white flower and citric fruit aromas mixed with honey notes. Full, creamy, complex and balanced in the mouth. Elegant woody notes. Long and intense.

LIVIUS GRACIANO

Wine produced using Graciano red grapes. The Graciano variety is a minority in La Rioja and there are very few productive hectares. Only 4-5 wineries in Rioja make a pure Graciano wine.
Wine ages in new barrels of different origins such as French, Hungarian and American oak for a minimum of 16 months prior to its subsequent refinement in the bottle.

MILETO WHITE

The grapes used to produce this wine come from Viura vines . Grapes are hand-harvested in 15 kg plastic boxes.Bunches are selected one by one on the grape sorting table. Afterwards, they are destemmed and crushed and transferred to stainless steel truncated cone deposits.
The juice is cold pre-fermented for 24 hours to extract a maximum number of fruity aromas. A vertical press is used and the grapes are fermented in stainless steel deposits and aged in new French and Hungarian oak barrels for 2 months.

TASTING NOTES
Brilliant yellow colour with greenish edges.Aromas of white flowers, citric fruits and grapefruit. Good entrance in the mouth thanks to its balanced acidity. Very subtle with light woody notes.

Nestled in the heart of La Rioja Alta, the winery is crossed by the Camino de Santiago, route of knowledge and culture.
Bodegas Alvia is known in Spain for the elaboration of high quality wines from centenary vineyards. The aim is to maintain this old vineyards that were being pulled off. Our artisanal methods and the quality of the low production vineyards allows us to make special and elegant DOC Rioja wines. We perform manual harvest in 15 Kg boxes and the grapes come through a sorting table. Our Oak room is one of the Top 5 in Rioja with barrels from France, Hungary and America.
The vineyards of Alvia
We manage more than thirty hectares of vineyards of Tempranillo, Graciano Garnacha, Viura and Malvasia. They are scattered in different locations as the area of the Sierra Cantabria, Huercanos, Cenicero, Ventosa and the Upper Najerilla. In all of them have been taken into account for selection, microclimate, orientation of the plots, low productivity of strains and age of the vineyard
