Château La Louvière Red (AOC Pessac-Léognan)

With a rich history going back seven centuries, Château La Louvière is located in Léognan, 14 kilometres south of Bordeaux in the Graves region. André Lurton fell under the charm of this estate and acquired it in 1965 prior to creating the Pessac-Léognan appellation in 1987, to which Château La Louvière belongs. This beautiful estate is much-admired by visitors and has been a listed historic monument since 1991.
The red wine, made with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is powerful, but also elegant and charming – qualities that are brought out with age.

Château Couhins-Lurton Red (AOC Pessac-Léognan)

Cru Classé de Graves for its white wine, Château Couhins-Lurton has 6 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc vines, as well as 17 hectares of red wine varieties, mostly Merlot. André Lurton saved this gem from destruction in the early 1970s. The château, cellar, outbuildings and grounds have since been entirely renovated. Château Couhins-Lurton’s reputation as a great growth has likewise been completely restored.
The red wine is full-bodied and powerful, with a long finish. It has a lovely deep crimson colour and is unquestionably aristocratic.

Very Sauvignon, this wine of André Lurton at an affordable price, is an example of "everyday wine": succulent aromas of pear and tropical fruit, nervous and expressive on the palate, clean finish and well-defined . Intelligent, vibrant easy to drink yet.

Thanks to expressive fruit – but without excessive concentration – Château Bonnet's red wine is unquestionably charming. In fact, it is a benchmark in Bordeaux.The wine is best enjoyed on the young side, although the quality tannin ensures good ageing for several year.

and surrounding vineyard in 1973.

Château de Barbe Blanche Red (AOC Lussac Saint-Émilion)

Château de Barbe Blanche is ideally situated on a clay-limestone hilltop in Lussac, opposite the finest slopes in Saint-Émilion. The château’s history is very old. King Henry the 4th of France is said to have appreciated the wine of Barbe Blanche. Acquired by André Lurton and his partner in 2000, this beautiful estate now has 28 hectares of vines.
Château de Barbe Blanche produces a predominantly Merlot-based wine. A regular medal-winner, this deeply coloured, round and smooth wine is one of the references of the appellation. It shows great finesse, underpinned by an elegant tannic structure conducive to long ageing.

Nestled on one of the numerous slopes in the Entre-Deux-Mers, just a short distance from the famous medieval town of Saint-Emilion, Château Guibon has a very long history. The monks at the neighbouring abbey of La Sauve Majeure are known to have made wine on clay-limestone terroir here in the 17th century. This was already much appreciated by connoisseurs. The reds are full-bodied and vigorous, and become smoother 2 or 3 years after the vintage.
