Cognac Petite Champagne VSOP, the second vineyard of Cognac. Brilliant, net spirit. Clear, golden amber dress. Subtle floral nose sometimes honeysuckle, sometimes violet. Straw dominant dries very slightly spiced with a touch of liquorice. Good attack, lively, where we find the hay and the violet. Fat but net mouth. Final maid without aggressiveness nor édulcoration. Adapted well to the apéritif or to the Long drink: cognac freezes, Cognac Tonic, cocktails (Summit, Pinklove, etc...)
Blend of two first Vineyards of Cognac. Grande Champagne which brings the sharpness, the length and the distinction and Petite Champagne which gives the subtlety, the delicacy and the sweetness. Tasting spirit 15 years of age, raised at first 12 in 14 months in oak barrel new of 350 L then it tierçons of 550 or 600 L. Slightly amber dress fruity Nose in the notes of almond and plum Good attack, Cognac to be sampled at the end of meal.
This rare vintage Cognac shows a very rich and long aromatic concentration. Its vintage barrels are unseled every year in order to produce around 100 bottles. 2006 has been subjected to a very hot summer, awarding to this Cognac a high aromatic complexity. Very nice freshness with exotic fruits and gourmet notes.
We have selected this cognac 'Grande Champagne' Premier Cru of 1992 to celebrate the 140th anniversary of our business, founded in 1872. This cask strength is expressing all the personnality and the character of the house beacause it has been aged in authentic casks, made by the best Cognac coopers; using hundred-year-old oak trees from our estate La Péraudière which were chosen in 1989 for the exceptional subtlety of their grain. Limited series of 1000 bottles.

Cognac Petite Champagne Rare Decanter, 70cl, 44% VOL.
One of the most natural tan of the range, with an outstanding long finish and concentration. A cask strength Cognac that will seduce connoisseurs, non reduced. Very nice amber colour with orangey reflection. In nose, we smell a rare complexity of flavors. In mouth, we can feel the grapes, dried apricot and oak.
Cognac Grande Champagne Rare Decanter, 70cl 42% VOL.
An exceptional cognac, patience and years have allowed this first crus to attain smoothness and concentrate its aromas. It expresses the full elegance and long finish of the Grande Champagne. The nose is elegant and delivers aromas of spices, dried fruits and orange peels evoluating to brioche, apple turnover and spices such as safran and cinnamon.
896 bottles of this Vintage Cognac has been bottled in 2016 in our cellars of La Rochelle. 1976 has been a very hot year, giving a lot of aromas. Our Petite Champagne 1976 was raised in the respect for a tradition the purest, raised first of all in new barrels of the forest of Tronçais during 18 months, these barrels were slightly burnt so that the wooden grip is slowly made with a homogeneity of the aromas, then this cognac continued are ageing in red barrels during 8 years, to finish then their route in old barrels selected until our days.
This exceptionnal Cognac is a blend of centernarian eau-de-vie. It has a beautiful mahogany colour with reddish reflection. The nose is fruity (dried fruits, candied fruits), smoky (chocolate, grilled coffee, smoke), rancio (Porto), woody (old cask, cigar box), spicy (vanilla, liquorice, safran, cinnamon). The mouth is wide, strong, aromatic with fruity notes of dried and candied fruits, rancio, smoky, spicy and woody. The final is very long. This our most complex, harmonious and subbtle Cognac.
Bland of two thirds of white grape freshly pressed and very mature (Ugni Blanc) with a third of one year Cognac, the whole aged in oak cask for five years. It is only at the end of this period that we obtain Pineau of the Charente carefully married. The subtlety lies in fresh notes of fruit, a delicate sugar and a well melted alcohol. To drink chilled without any ice, in aperitif or as a desert wine.
Caracteristic: fresh and fruity with a dash of “rancio”.
Blend of two thirds of red grape freshly pressed and very mature (Merlot) with a third of one year Cognac, the whole aged in oak cask. It is only at the end of this period that we obtain Pineau of the Charente carefully married. The subtlety lies in fresh notes of fruit, a delicate sugar and a well melted alcohol. To drink chilled, without any ice, in aperitif or as a desert wine.
Caracteristics: Fruitier than the white with a greedy note of pits of cherry.
Very Old White Pineau des Charentes, 75cl 17% VOL.
The “rancio” itself is expressed with intensity and length, generally underestimated by the general public because preserved jealously by the natives of the Charente region for the family and "boungoules" (connoisseurs). To drink chilled without any ice, in aperitif or as a desert wine.
Caracteristics: more concentrated and fat than the precedents, it will adapt magnificently well on a semi-cooked foie gras or a roast of steaklet of duck stuffed.
Normandin-Mercier, one of the finest House of Cognac, offers blended eau-de-vie from the finest crus of Cognac appellation. This House is a family story and it remains through a multigenerational work from 1872 to nowadays. Back to five generations before, Jules Normandin bought the estate of la Péraudière at the gates of La Rochelle, because Cognac trade was expending and La Rochelle harbour was stimulating international trade. Moreover, the climate in La Rochelle is very well adapted for ageing Cognac because of the proximity of the ocean.
Edouard Normandin, the master blender and director, is perpetuating the savoir-faire of their ancestors. The sense of family and the importance of the handmade expertise make their Cognac a coveted elixir for connoisseurs. Specialized in old cognacs, the House offers a large range of products from VSOP to an Extra Old blend of centenarian eau-de-vie, by way of vintages, sumptuous carafes and Pineaux des Charentes.
