"ChaPe'" Chardonnay / Pecorino IGT Colline Teatine
The origin of ChaPe' is a 50 / 50 blend of Chardonnay and Pecorino grapes - hence the name. The label is also a hint to the hats-off this wine pays to three core influences of our winery: the local territory, through the Pecorino grapes; the United States, where half of our family lives, and the French wine culture, by way of the Charndonnay grapes and the winemaking techique. The latter consists of a full malolactic fermentation, followed by aging in oak tonneau while stirring settled lees (bâtonnage).
This combination of grapes and winemaking technique results in scents of pineapple, vanilla, creme brulee - juxtaposed by a silky texture, slightly crispy and long finish in the palate.
