Champagne Jean Josselin - Blanc de Blancs vintage 2013
This unusual vintage Blanc de Blancs is made solely from Chardonnay grown in the Aube, on Kimmeridgien soil. Come taste what makes it different from the Blanc de Blancs found in the northern part of Champagne.
Our Alliance cuvée is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir enhanced with 30% Chardonnay, from a single harvest. With complex yet delicate aromas, the fruit shines through on the palate, offering an easy-to-drink champagne that opens with a few minutes in your glass.
Composition is a cuvée made in the champagne tradition of using the three major grapes. In this case, we have used 50% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier. A well-balanced and delicious champagne, easy to pair with food or great on its own.
Cuvée des Jean is 100% Pinot Noir, a blend of two harvests. It is named in honor of 3 generations of Josselin family winemakers: Jean, Jean-Pierre, and Jean-Félix. It is a lucious, fruity champagne, rich enough to pair with chicken, cream sauces, or even hamburgers.
Champagne Jean Josselin - Cordon Royal vintage 2013
A blanc de noirs made exclusively from Pinot Noir, then aged sur latte until the fruit has time to evolve, this champagne is our only extra-brut. Drink now as an apéritif or cellar it for a few more years.
Our exceptional rosé is made from a special plot of Pinot Noir vines. A "rosé of maceration," we macerate the skins with the juice for a short period of time (normally 24-36 hours), then blend it with fresh juice from the press. It then spends 3-5 years aging until we feel it's ready to be released for your pleasure. Delicious on its own or paired with duck breast, grilled salmon, or an exceptional cheese platter.
Champagne Jean Josselin - Douceur de l'Aube demi-sec
Our demi-sec champagne, made from 100% Pinot Noir, is exceptionally well-balanced between sweetness and acidity. Rich and complex in the mouth, it pairs equally well with desserts or with spicy, rich foods. Try it with a Thai curry or foie gras with fig compote.
Since 1854, the Josselin family have been passionate winegrowers in the Côte des Bar, the southern part of the Champagne region. In 1957, Jean Josselin created his eponymous champagne house, creating Pinot Noir champagnes. His son Jean-Pierre joined him in 1980, and innovatively planted the family's first Chardonnay vines. Jean-Pierre was then joined by his wife, Véronique, and in 2006 their daughter Lucile joined them as well. Four years later, having completed his studies in œnology and viticulture in Beaune and internships in Switzerland and in France, their son Jean-Félix came onboard. Jean-Félix is now in charge of winemaking and he continues to innovate. The vineyards are now certified "Terra Vitis" to confirm their efforts in preserving the land for future generations.
