PRADOS FUSIÓN GARNACHA-SYRAH

History of brand:
Pagos del Moncayo is an artisanal & sustainable winery located at the foothills of the Sierra
del Moncayo, in the heart of the Iberian mountain range as it passes through Aragon. We
make our wines in an artisanal way from hand-picked grapes, treading the grapes
ourselves to produce Prados hand-crafted wines. This commitment with craftsmanship
brought us the recognition of being the European referent in sustainable wine elaboration
by the EU project ECO-PROWINE.

Vineyard:
The varieties of Garnacha and Syrah, which are PRADOS Fusión wines, grow on over 7
hectares of vineyards belonging to the Aibar family, which guarantees quality vineyard
management. The richness of these vineyards named La Marga and Blanquizales, which
are located in the municipalities of Magallon and Bisimbre, allows us to maintain the finest
production to elaborate this outstanding wine.

Fermentation & Ageing:
Every season, we pick the grapes by hand and transport them in small containers of no
more than 20 Kgs per container to protect the fruit. The grapes, partially destemmed, are
placed in open vats. Each vat normally holds the result of an entire day of harvest. The
grapes are macerated here for a week before the start of the alcoholic fermentation. After
the start of fermentation, we crush the grapes under foot; the artisanal method developed
to ensure the maximum extraction of the grapes’ potential and also the correct maceration
and colour extraction. After fermentation the wine is separated from the fermentation
residue by a traditional manual pressing system. This guarantees the highest quality of the
wines.

Winemaker's notes:
Dark ruby colored, Prados Fusión offers a rich fruity nose rounded with red Mediterranean
fruit and sweet spice. Jammy flavours make it evident that this wine is a blend of Garnacha
and Syrah. It seduces with layers of complex flavours, a strong personality and a great
lengthy finish.

Service suggestions:
We suggest serving at a temperature of 14°C, as an accompaniment to red meats with red
fruit sauces, stews and pasta dishes.

PRADOS COLECCIÓN SYRAH

History of brand:

make our wines in an artisanal way from hand-picked grapes, treading the grapes

Vineyard:
The varieties of Garnacha and Syrah, which are PRADOS wines, grow on over 7 hectares
of vineyards belonging to the Aibar family, which guarantees quality vineyard
management. The grapes of our PRADOS Colección Syrah comes from our vineyard of La
Loma, a small hill in which we cultivate 5.000 vines of Syrah grape and which fruits allow
us to produce almost every year our best Syrah.

Fermentation & Ageing:
Every season, we pick the grapes by hand and transport them in small containers of no
more than 20 Kgs per container to protect the fruit. The grapes, partially destemmed, are
placed in open vats. Each vat normally holds the result of an entire day of harvest. The

to ensure the maximum extraction of the grapes’ potential and also the correct maceration
and colour extraction. After fermentation the wine is separated from the fermentation
residue by a traditional manual pressing system. This guarantees the highest quality of the
wines. Finally, the wine rests for 10 months in oak barrels before bottling.

Winemaker's notes:
Intense cherry tones with hints of violet. It is a nice and tasty wine with deep aromas of
wild fruits and violets, cassis, plum jam, black currant and blackberry, black olives and
truffles. The palate is powerful, full-bodied, with a silky texture.

Service suggestions:
We suggest serving at a temperature of 14°C. A great pair to roasts and red meats.
