This superb Barolo Riserva Stefano Farina is the result of an immense love for nature and a careful tilling of the land. The vineyards are located in the south western part of Piedmont, at La Morra d'Alba in the ancient county of "Langhe". During the harvest which takes place towards the end of October, only the best grapes are selected through a meticulous process of hand-picking. This wine comes in limited quantities, and undergoes ageing for a period of five years, of which three years in oak casks of Slavonic origin; its colour is typically ruby red with nuances of garnet and orange reflections. Intense fruity bouquet mixed with spices and liquorice, velvety flavour and smooth taste. All of the above truly makes this Barolo a first class wine.

This wine is produced on the slopes surrounding Alba and leading down to the river Tanaro in the region of Piedmont. Barbera may be appreciated both young and slightly aged. As it is, both wines are controlled at origin of denomination. The colour is an intense ruby red with a vinous aroma, very delicate and with somewhat of a bitter taste. When slightly aged the wine acquires a mature and well balanced taste.

Dolcetto is the most widespread wine in the area surrounding Alba; the grapes produced from this area are so sweet that they can even be consumed and appreciated at the table. Every hill around Alba gives birth to a Dolcetto with various characteristics. This particular type of Dolcetto has a ruby colour, a firm and pleasantly fruity aroma; the taste is dry, full-bodied and well balanced.

This is a rather sophisticated wine, obtained through a wine making process of well matured grapes. Aged in French barriques (oak casks) it acquires a touch of elegance, and it is left to rest for long periods in the bottle before being placed on the market. Wine of great complexity with notes of large and small red fruits (from cherry to currant), black fruits (blueberry and other berries). Spicy flavours due to its passage in wood. Great softness and volume at taste, pleasant tannic with a very light hints of bitter at the end (pleasant and characteristic).

This is amongst the oldest vineyards in Piedmont, and was well known also by ancient Romans. It's the typical noble vineyards, very sensitive to climate. A careful and wise dosage of all elements is essential during the process of ageing however short. A sweet flavour and scented bouquet make this bubbly wine a fresh and easy alternative to heavier wines.

Evolution/Aging: In cement vats for about 10 months (approximately one month for the fermentation process and then aging in wood for a further 9 months); 18 months in wood (a portion in Slavonian oak, a portion in 1st and 2nd filing barriques). Bottle aging for at least six months before being released on the market.. The timing of each operation is indicative, the winemaker decides on them by tasting the wine as it evolves 18-20°C

"Chianti Classico Riserva" designates the Chianti wine aged for at least 3 years following harvest. The Stefano Farina vineyard clearly respects this rule by using a severe selection process, whereby only the wine believed to be of superior quality can be elected to a "Riserva". This wine is produced in the heart of the Chianti Classico area, in a village called Panzano 5 Km from the town of Greve. This is a Chianti of controlled and guaranteed denomination. The wine making process is respectful of the old traditional Tuscan metods. Two types of grapes make up this wine, namely: Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Chianti "La Ginestra" is a brillant ruby red wine which turns to a garnet colour as it ages. Its dry and aromatic taste becomes soft and velvety with a light violet aroma with ageing.
