About us

Company details

The Cupertinum, co-operative winery of Copertino, covers the whole production cycle. The associated winemakers entrust their products to the Cooperative with the specific desire to produce high quality wines in order to satisfy the most demanding consumer. One of the secrets of Cupertinum is a precise knowledge of the vineyards, the organoleptic characteristics of their grapes and the specific processing requirements.
With the experience gained through several generations, today Cupertinum works with excellent traditional varieties: principally Negroamaro, the enoic symbol of Salento, which is flanked by black Malvasia, Primitivo, and Malvasia of Lecce, and some international and national varieties now naturalized in these lands (Merlot, Syrah, Montepulciano, Chardonnay), from which it draws its famous wines.
In the cellar during the vinification and refinement, the main objective is to bring out the character of wines while maintaining and building upon their specific subtleties. This is the secret that gives the robust and simple wines of Cupertinum a personality that is characterized by attractive aromas, harmony, body and elegance.
