Our products

Product category: Puglia

Brando is obtained exclusively from Uva di Troia, a typical vineyard of Gargano countryside. It embodies the passion and devotion of the homonymous vine grower, who has been looking after our vines with a tireless passion for a whole generation.
The attention for the single plants, with a special regard to production containment, allows us to obtain grapes which are perfectly balanced from the point of view of sugar and phenol.
After the harvest, the process continues with the maceration on skins for 20 days and the simultaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
At a later stage, the wine is put into second passage oak barriques for 4 months, where malolactic fermentation is carried out, followed by refinement in bottle for 6-8 months.
Wine with a marked tannic character and spicy scents with slight hints of citrus; to enjoy with very savoury cheeses and game. Excellent with dishes based on vegetables and very fatty fish.

Primitivo grapes represent the strong Apulian vocation for wine production.
Impavido comes from grapes cultivated in a low-yield soil, daily monitored, and where winemaking activities are carried out with the utmost care.
After the natural drying on the vine, grapes are accurately selected and collected in boxes. Afterwards they are destemmed and pressed.
The must undergoes the alcoholic fermentation by maceration on skins for at least 20 days at controlled temperature.
Then the wine is put into French oak barriques, where malolactic fermentation and refinement for 12 months are carried out.
It has a ruby red colour and gentle violet hues are more evident with ageing; the scents of spices and berries and the full and harmonious taste are ennobled and balanced by the contact with the barriques.
It can be combined with game, very tasty cheeses and first courses with red sauce. It is the ideal accompaniment to typical dishes of Apulian cuisine, such as “orecchiette” and “cavatelli”, enriched by vegetables such as turnip tops.

BLEND 2013

This wine comes from the splendid union of autochthonous vines Aglianico and Nero di Troia and allochthonous vine Cabernet Sauvignon.
The harvest of these grapes takes place in different times, and it is the same for maceration, alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation. Each of these three grapes carries out these cycles separately, so as to maintain their organoleptic qualities.
When each wine has reached its best quality, they are blended together in established percentages and refined in second passage Frech oak barriques.
The wine obtained is red with purple hues; the fruity tannin of Aglianico is perfectly balanced with the rich polyphenol content of Nero di Troia, leaving space, at the end, to the delicate vegetal aftertaste of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Suitable for succulent first courses, tough red meat and aged/not aged hard cheese.
To enjoy also with red sauce dishes.

About us

Company details

In the vast Italian enology, a new history comes to life in a territory which is little known in the wine world: Daunia. The challenge starts from one of the rare hills of the Tavoliere, “coppadoro” hill, where two men decided to start the winery Tenuta Coppadoro.

They are life-long friends; they share a “calling” for entrepreneurial activity and a passion for their land. One has cultivated it since he was a child, by tradition; the other one derived it from his experience and passion. A young business, started in 1999, but deriving from earliest local studies and plans. Their firm aims at becoming a leading group within a sector undergoing deep changes and offering new chances, in the context marked by strong national and international competition.

Tenuta Coppadoro intends to enhance its territory, based on quality. Currently, the activity is run by the sons of both entrepreneurs, together with a team of qualified and passionate young people, willing to convey to the market their enthusiasm for their territory, history and work. Their emblem is a stylized cardum symbolizing growth and elegance. A project successfully resulting in a wide range of uncompromising quality wines.
