About us

Company details

Val d'Orcia, an ancient land of intact small-villages, farms and castles, nature and history, has always fascinated travelers. From 2004 World Heritage Site for its landscape, it is an expression of balance of the ancient relationship between man and nature over the centuries and it is the mirror of the landscape of Siena from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, as evidenced by the fresco of Buon Governo by Ambrogio Lorenzetti in the Public Palace in Siena.
In this land, devoted to beauty and quality, but also difficult, the man's work has been able to obtain high quality products from the vines, olive trees and wheat.
It is in these ancient lands that the farm Valdorcia Terre Senesi, that wanted to point out its local roots in its name, has decided to face the challenge of looking to the future by investing in the ancient quality. A quality product and a quality in production processes by choosing the difficult way of organic production. The future only lies in quality and that is what we have a bet on.
The company Valdorcia Terre Senesi, born from the passion of four friends for the beautiful land of Siena, began its activity in the mid-1990's with the olive oil of high quality by buying a few hectares of Olivastra Seggianese trees in the city of Seggiano and Castel del Piano. With the take over of the Scarabotti farm, placed on the ridge of Ripa d'Orcia, in the heart of the natural park, registered in the organic producers register since 1990, is carrying on the bet of the organic farm throught the wine-growing and producing with the wine Orcia (D.O.C.), as well as the quality cereal growing activity.

Come and visit us, you will be welcome guests in our S. Pietro farm, overlooking a landscape of medieval castles along the Orcia gorge in the Ripa d'Orcia woods, in front of the scenario of Mount Amiata.
