Product category: Toscana

85% Trebbiano, 15% Malvasia

The hand-picked grapes were destalked and very gently pressed. The must was cooled to a temperature of 10° C to help it clear naturally. After 48 hours it was transferred to stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of no more than 18° C, which enabled the wine to keep fresh and fragrant.

Straw yellow colour with greenish highlights, it has an intense and aromatic fragrance reminiscent of broom, bananas, orange blossom and roses. It has a full-bodied taste, with a lingering aroma and good level of acidity. Pleasant to drink.

IL CASTELLUCCIO Sangiovese IGT (typical geographical indication)

Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 5%, Cabernet Sauvignon 5%

Alcohol fermentation takes place in controlledtemperature steel tanks. Once alcohol and malo-lactic fermentation are complete, the wine is lightly aged in cement vats for a few months before bottling.

A young, fresh, fruity wine and a perfect accompaniment for any traditional Tuscan dish. Its fine acidity also means it is ideal with fish chowders. Must be served at around 18 °C.

About us

Company details

The farming history of the Tamburini family dates back to the late 19th century, and since then, for no less than 5 generations, a love of wine and olive growing has formed the basis of their daily work. The farm now covers over 50 hectares, all located in the historic heart of Chianti production in the Tuscan hills of the province of Florence. An agronomic and technological remodelling has been in progress since 2002, so far involving 25 hectares of vines and the 1.000 olive trees. This is leading to the company’s presence on the Italian and international markets with a product mix known mainly for the quality of the raw materials, but never losing sight of the typical and traditional characteristics of its area of origin.
