Controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, employing de-stemmed grapes and cold maceration of the grapes. After fermentation, most of the wine undertakes malolactic fermentation in new oak barrels. Tasting notes:

Classic and elegant Rioja wine style. Very clean in the nose, dominated by concentrated fruit well integrated with oak, with aromas of soft ripe cherry, vanilla cream and buttered toast. Once in the mouth it is warm, well rounded, with sweet tannins and well balanced. It has a juicy redcurrants and blueberries taste and smooth spice. Nice expression and great persistence.

Grape varieties: 100% Tempranillo
Ageing: 30 months in the cask and 36 years in the bottle
Best served at: 17 – 19 º C

About us

Company details

Creating fine wines is only possible with quality grapes. This is our hallmark, but this fine quality is the culmination of a series of strictly controlled winemaking processes.

Covila's facilities are equipped with the latest technology to make it possible to guarantee this quality. In our vinification section our stainless steel vats are equipped with fermentation equipment using controlled temperatures and can process up to 3 million litres in total.

Time, rest, generous oak and the skill of our winemakers make up the allies of our crianza and reserva wines. The vineyard is our greatest asset, and having a diverse variety of plots, with distinctive features, allows us to decide on the vines themselves which terroirs and which grapes will be destined to producing cask-aged wines.
