Lavia + 2012

Cherry red colour with medium depth. Intense bouquet with balsamic aromas (ceder) from the French oak ageing. Balanced mouthfeel, reminiscent of charcoal, nuts such as almond and pepper aftertaste. The tannins are pleasant and elegant.

From 15 to 26 September for the last Monastrell.

Vinification
Hand-picked in 15 kg boxes. Sorted in the vineyard and on a sorting table before entering the winery. Partially destemmed and pressed. Gravity-fed tank filling.Fermentation with indigenous yeast in a 100 hl wooden vats under controlled temperature. Cap immersion or pigeage and returned with a peristaltic pump . Macerated for 18 days. Malolactic fermentation in wooden vat.

A precious deep-red coloured wine. Great finesse on the nose, typical of Mencía, it presents aromas of red berries, spices and smoky hints. Unctuous on the palate, fresh fleshiness and balanced structure.

Envisioning wine through a different perspective
The promoter of this idea is Luis Miñano San Valero, an entrepreneur from the province of Alicante. With an innovative and persistent spirit, and with the support of his family, he has created a new business concept, which lies in envisioning the world of wine with perspective and defining the uniqueness of each if the wineries that form part of the MGWines Group.

These factors, along with his consistent dedication and effort towards good performance, have led to the creation of a distinct and exceptional group that seeks the excellence of its products.

Wineries with Mediterranean nature
Our belief in promoting autochthonous varieties from the different regions is the reason we are a group made up of wineries with Mediterranean nature that pertain to different Designation of Origin (Alicante, Bullas, Bierzo and Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla), and together comprise a total of 180 hectares of vineyards. The main varieties grown for red are Monastrell, Syrah, Merlot, Mencía, Cabernet, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo and Alicante Bouschet. And for whites, Moscatel, Macabeo, Chardonney and Godello.

Our wineries have a total of 180 hectares of vineyards, where the main red varieties grown are Monastrell, Syrah, Merlos, Garnacha, Tintorera, Petit Verdot and Tempranillo, and the white varieties Moscatel and Macabeo, through cooperating estates in regime of rent.

Likewise, MGWines Group is strengthening its national and international market with first-rate distributors.
