A.T Richardson Chockstone Shiraz Grampians Victoria 2015
Adam Richardson has finally returned home to Australia, having worked for almost two decades in California. A.T. Richardson Wines is all about family grown fruit from the vineyard he has been quietly planting over the last ten years. Sitting on a slope off an ironstone rich ridge in Armstrong, in the sub-region of Great Western in the Grampians, the vineyard is planted mostly to Shiraz and Riesling.
A.T. Richardson Chockstone Shiraz 2015
The Chockstone Shiraz is known for its complex layers of flavours, nicely balanced natural acidity, and fine tannins.
A deep garnet colour, the Chockstone Shiraz displays an abundance of black and white pepper spices intertwined with a range of rich and ripe berry fruits. Notes of black cherries, cassis, dark chocolate and even hints of smoked meats add rich complexity to a central theme of spiciness.
