Production|1.400 bottles individually numbered and only produced in the best vintages.

Vinification|The fully matured grapes are selected and harvested in small crates of 4/5 kg.
The grapes are then left in fruttaio (drying room) for over four months resulting of a weight loss up to 50%.
The vinification is carried out in stainless steel tank with daily “remontage”.
The spontaneous fermentation can last up to three months and is stopped naturally.
Aging| The wine is refined in 5hl French oak barrels for at least 4 years and bottled without filtration.
Spend and extra year in bottle before being released.
Food pairings|Full bodied sweet wine.
Perfect match to pastries (cantucci, sbrisolona) or Panettone.
Could also accompany Blue cheese or bittersweet chocolate.
Often referred as meditation wine.
Wine tasting Colour|Red ruby colour with violet reflections.
Bouquet|Nose reveals notes of ripe fruit such as black cherry, raspberry and plum, with hints of spices. Palate|Full-bodied, round and elegant sweetness. Good balance between acidity and tannins.
An ever presence of Morello cherries in every taste culminate in a dense, fruity and persistent finale.

Vinification|A rigorous selection identify the best bunches and are stored in fruttaio (Dryining room).
The drying process, all natural without the use of air conditioning system, lasts longer than 3 months with a weight loss of up to 35%. After a cold maceration of 15 days, the slow fermentation lasting at least a month takes place in stainless steel thanks with controlled temperatures never exceeding 20°C.
The soft remontage and delestage tecnique allows the maximum extracion of polyphenolic compounds.
Aging| The wine is refined in 30 hl French oak barrels for at least 5 years.
After this, the wine is transferred to stainless steel tanks for an extra few month before bottling.
Spend and extra year in bottle before being released.
Food pairings|Wine of great structure, it will be a good combination with red meat and game dishes.
Excellent with Salame or matured or semi-matured cheeses.
Wine tasting Colour|Red ruby colour with shades of orange.
Bouquet|Nose reveals notes of ripe fruit such as black cherry, raspberry and plum with hints of mint and eucalyptus.
Palate|Full bodied, well structured with elegant tannins, fruity notes of red berries combined with liquorice and tobacco.

Company details

Azienda Piccoli, is located on Monte La Parte, a beautiful hill of tuffaceous and calcareous soils in Parona di Valpolicella, a few minutes from the historic center of Verona.
A Company born from the passion for the land where it was born, the Valpolicella.
Is spread over 15 hectars dedicated entirely to the cultivation of grapes and olives.
The principal vineyards pruning system is guyot.
The vines are at 250 meters above sea level and, due to windy climate and excellent sun exposure, produce high quality grapes devoted to make structured, complex, elegant and fruity wines.
An excellent production of about 35.000 bottles in total, that wants to emerge for the high quality, the result of tradition and innovation.
The common target of all the wines is the research of the best grapes to get, in every sip, the landscape of origin and the most beautiful emotion.
