Cuvée Indigene

This original CUVÉE INDIGENE derives from a selection of the best grapes from the old “Monti Vineyard”, a plot dating back to 1975, situated on the Montello hillside (to the North of Venice) in the historic Prosecco Superiore area.

Apart from the characteristics of the grapes used, which stem from old Prosecco clones, another feature of this Cuvée is the natural wine-making method used.

Soon after a light pressing, the must is placed in a very low temperature autoclave to initiate a very, very slow fermentation process. Thereby only indigenous yeasts are used and there is no addition of sugars. This slow, low-temperature fermentation lasts over 9 months and it creates an extremely fine and elegant perlage, endowing this spumante with its extraordinary creaminess. When united with the natural complexity of Asolo Prosecco, a unique and unmistakable character sets this spumante apart from other kinds.

Created by direct fermentation of the must using indigenous yeasts, this spumante will enable you to rediscover the true original feeling of Glera (the Prosecco variety).

Vigna Monti

This original selection comes from the “Monti Vineyard”, a plot added in 1975, situated on the Montello hillside (50KM north of Venice) and in the historic area for Prosecco Superiore DOCG (verified designation of origin guaranteed). Apart from the distinctive character of the grapes, which originate from old Glera (Prosecco) clones cultivated under organic conditions, this vineyard has always produced premium structure wines, which we have opted to enhance through a separate vinification process using the classic method of in-bottle fermentation, with the wine remaining on its yeasts for approx. one year. Having been produced according to the traditional method, the wine is then bottled in the spring for a second fermentation and a period spent dwelling on its yeasts, which lasts until the following springtime. This slow maturation on its yeasts enhances the natural richness of Asolo Prosecco, highlighting the unique and unmistakable character that makes it stand out among all the other categories of Prosecco.

This Prosecco Extra Brut, which contains only the tiniest amount of residual sugar (0.2 grams/litre), allows you to enjoy the mineral richness of our Asolo DOCG terroir to the full.

Metodo Classico

Loredan Gasparini “Metodo Classico” is a sparkling wine made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, growing on the hilly side of the estate in Nervesa, carefully harvested and immediately softly pressed.
This wine is the result of the fermentation of the first must, which represents the 50% of the starting grapes, and it is produced according to the classic French method. Straw yellow in colour with light golden glints it has a fine and continuous perlage and its froth represents a prelude to a lot of elegant sensations.

Company details

Our Origins
In Venegazzù of Volpago del Montello, on the slopes of the Riviera with the same name located in the heart of Marca Trevigiana, extend 60 hectares of the Azienda Agricola Conte Loredan Gasparini. An area historically acclaimed for its quality wine production, so much that in 1590 the historian Bonifacio sang its praises in his “Trevigiana History” sustaining that “the Trevigi countryside has woodlands useful for timber and for hunting… The land produces (…) excellent wines and the most remarkable is the one of the Montello Riviera” which consists of clay earth rich in iron and minerals.

Founded in the 50s by Count Piero Loredan, direct descendant of the Doge of Venice Leonardo Loredan (who chose the territory of “Vignigazzu” to establish his residence in a magnificent Palladian villa), in 1973 the business passed under the property and direction of the present owner, Mr. Giancarlo Palla. From its beginnings the founder planted the company’s tenements vines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbech in order to produce highly esteemed quality wines.

Behind a great Wine, there is a man and a passion.
A few years after the end of World War II, at the end of the’40s, Count Piero Loredan realized that it would be possible to accomplish an extraordinary success over the Venegazzù land, producing a wine of the highest quality. Certainly this is an extraordinary quality, particularly concerning the land. A land that, until that time, had shown remarkable potential, but it had not found a man with Love for Wine and a Passion for Quality. As a result, in 1951, the first “Red wine of Venegazzù” was born.

Four elements of our Wine
Our TERRITORY: a beautiful natural art work that we respect … using 100% renewable energy.

Our LOVE FOR WINE: that is not rational, coming from the depth of our heart.

Our PASSION FOR QUALITY: that is a rational and continuous energy, searching for the ideal Wine, which does not want to be the expression of an absolute style, being an end in itself, but the product of a unique terroir.

Therefore, a TERROIR which is the synthesis of an infinite interaction between the Environment and us, living beings who inhabit it with our traditions. This is a balance of force and energies which specifically belong to this place, unique and incomparable.
