It was Rémy Massin, the fourth generation of vineyard worker in the family, who created the brand Rémy Massin & Fils in 1974.
Rémy was dynamic, passionate and ambitious and he was determined to use his grapes to make his own champagne. Rather than working alone he set up a company with his son Sylvère who was equally enterprising and also a real perfectionist. They made a great pair and from 1974 onwards Rémy managed the vineyards whilst Sylvère took on the role of oenologist to create our very first champagnes.
In 2002 Cédric, Sylvères son, joined the business after completing his studies in oenology and viticulture. He took over the management of the vineyards with the support of his grandfather with whom he enjoys a close relationship.
