Our products

Product category: Bordeaux

The subtlety of the "leading vintage" of the chateau Peybonhomme-Les-Tours which comes from one the perfected planting of 4 type of vines: Merlot, Cabernet-sauvignon, Cabernet-franc and Malbec. The ploughing which takes place in rich clay soil and with a very chalky base, specific to Peybonhomme, allowing a major rooting of the vine in order to express its exceptional soil. It is this link between Planting and Soil which defines the unique nature of this vintage. After a careful winemaking process, without chaptalization, with fermentation carried out by indigenous yeasts, the wine is grown in barrels while preserving its original fruit: dominance of red fruits associated with hints of spices, a very subtle aromatic palette allowing a harmonious evolution in time.

La Quintessence de Peybonhomme

The excellence of the vineyard. When harvesting, we already have some idea from which plots the grapes will come and which will compose this vintage but it is only once the fermentation is complete, after tasting, that the tanks "right for blending" will be chosen, in order to get as close as possible to perfection.

A blend as good as this must be allowed to evolve under the best conditions, this blend is thus intended for new barrels in French oaks. A balance between the natural tannic richness of the grape and that of wood then will be created to produce a fine wine for laying down.

Le Blanc Bonhomme

From one tasting to the next this half-sémillion and half-sauvignon blend does not cease to surprise, not by the unconventional shape of its bottle but by a rare subtlety in the family of dry Bordeaux whites. A wine full of "freshness" where aromas of citrus fruits, even exotic fruits inhabit a rocky landscape.

History of Château Peybonhomme

The legend has that at the beginning of 13thh century, fleeing persecution, a family from Cathares ("Les Bons Hommes/ The Good Men") sought refuge on a hill ("Pey ") close to La Gironde, from which the curious name of Pey-Bonhomme, place marked on the first geography map of King Cassini, since the 17thth century.

In 1895, Peybonhomme was sold to bar of the Commercial Court of Blaye as a "Wine from Côtes - Premier Cru Bourgeois", name definitely attached to the name of the Château by decision of the Court of Appeal of the County Court of Bordeaux in 1996.
