BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO D.O.C.G.

Brunello di Montalcino is the ambassador of top quality Italian wines around the world, the first wine to receive the DOCG appellation. Brunello is a brilliant ruby red colour, tending towards garnet red with age. Its bouquet is intense, pure, pleasant and refined, reminiscent of sweet violet, tobacco, chocolate and pleasant hints of wild berries and vanilla. Its flavour fully confirms the above in a well-balanced, full-bodied wine with good tannins and a solid structure.

ALTE D'ALTESI I.G.T

Alte d'Altesi is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in equal quantities. It is a deep, purplish red colour, with a pleasant, refined and elegant aroma reminiscent of black cherry, plum and blackberry, followed by the aroma of redcurrant, violet and vanilla and hints of menthol and cloves. A well-balanced and full-bodied flavour with elegant tannins. Alte d'Altesi matures for 12-14 months in barriques followed by 3 months in bottles.

GRAPPA DI BRUNELLO RISERVA

Distilled Sangiovese di Montalcino grape pomace aged in barriques for about one year. This is a so-called meditation grappa, with a distinctive character made even more complex by having the grappa rest in small oak barrels. This not only gives the grappa an intense amber colour but gives the distilled liquor a surprisingly elegant and complex bouquet with sensations of vanilla, spices and dried fruit to offer the palate a warm and involving drink, with a well-defined personality.

Altesino is a leader in various, important innovations in the production of Sangiovese from Montalcino, causing it to stand out and become a reference point for the entire territory.

Some of the positive contributions putting Montalcino on the world map are: the introduction of the "Cru" (Montosoli) concept in 1975, the first experiments with barriques in '79, the production in '77 of the first Grappa from a winery and the first Futures (purchasing wine before its release) for Brunello 1985.
