In vogelfrei SUGAR CANE the highest quality components are combined to perfectly recreate the taste of rum. The base is a sugar cane molasses, so it is the same base as a conventional rum. The typical alcoholic spiciness is created by a chili macerate. Since wood flavors must not be missing in a rum, a limousine oak macerate is used. The SUGAR CANE is given a natural sweetness by a high-quality agave syrup. In total, ten different botanicals are used. However, some of them are a closely guarded secret of Master Distiller Rouven Richter. Raphael Heiche emphasizes that SUGAR CANE was created as an alternative for use in drinks. So a Dark and Stormy or a classic Rum Cola can also shine alcohol-free. Here, the mixing ratio can be taken over 1:1 by the SUGAR CANE, as with a conventional rum.
Why did you choose "same but different" and not the hall with classic spirits?
We want to give our trend products and novelties the right setting and specifically address visitors who are open to trends that are already alive and new.

Because we, HEIMAT Distillers, are a portfolio supplier and can pick up visitors holistically. Besides our Dry Gin and Germany's best ginger spirit, we are especially proud of our non-alcoholic alternatives.
In which product do you see a future trend?
In our non-alcoholic alternatives, which are represented on the market under the vogelfrei line, we see increasing demand and expect a positive development in the coming years as well. We also see a major trend in continental spirits. Here, we have been on the market since mid-2021 with RAMERO rum.
