A little spoiler about adaption and new hero’s: During the three years since the last ProWein many producers across Planet Wine began seriously investing in making the vineyards more resilient to climate change. Whether it’s a shift in variety, aspect, altitude or rootstock, adaption it turns out, is key. Another trend: Wine gets a makeover. During the crisis some serious rethinking happened. Co-fermentation, hard seltzer, even alcohol-free: new categories of hybrid drinks and inventive packaging are receiving a hero’s welcome in an industry previously rooted in tradition.
