At the special show, the well-known gastronome, sommelier and influencer Toni Askitis will offer a tailor-made programme for beginners, advanced learners and professionals in the form form of workshops, tastings and exciting scene interviews. Stop by our urban gastronomy lounge in hall 4 A19!

The different workshops

How to Prowein?! One wine three glasses!

You haven't been working in the industry for long and are helpless in front of the range on offer at ProWein? 
The first workshop of the day is aimed at trade fair newcomers. Toni will tell his personal ProWein story in a relaxed and open manner, including a few anecdotes, and finally explain how best to find your way around ProWein.
The second part of the workshop is about tasting wines: Using three different glasses, Toni explains how the wine behaves here and which glass is best suited for which wine.

Music in a glas

A purely subjective and very popular format. Toni chooses three songs and, together with a winemaker, assigns them to three of the winemaker's wines. The workshop participants share their assignment and a lively exchange on the different views with the participants ensues.

The aim of the workshop is to convey and bring closer the emotions that are contained in wine. Wine is a feeling - just like music.

Pro to Pro

In this workshop, Toni talks to gastronomy professionals from all over the world about regional developments in the gastronomy and wine market. A joint tasting of the professionals with the visitors frames the relaxed conversation.

Foodpairing

Wine paired with food is an important topic, especially for restaurateurs. Together with a chef, restaurateur or producer, Toni explains how wine and food are matched. The workshop participants have the opportunity to taste presented combinations and get inspired for their businesses - also or especially by unusual combinations.
