, We too can hardly await the forthcoming ProWein and want the upcoming edition to prove the greatest success possible for you and all parties involved after a long Covid break. However, the currently very dynamic infection patterns and the rapid spread of the Omicron variant make the originally planned dates impossible to keep. Together with the associations and partners involved we have arrived at the conclusion: yes, we will hold the trade fair – but not at the early point in time it was originally planned for. Following intense consultations we therefore postpone ProWein to 15 to 17 May 2022. By that time, we expect a clearly more positive situation overall. We are bolstered here by the experience gained during the past pandemic years and forecasts from numerous virologists. In early summer we expect infection patterns to be less dynamic – and hence more people will be able to enter the country and participate. The postponement provides all parties involved with more planning security and greater prospects of success. We know what it means to intensely prepare an event over a long period of time and then have to postpone it; we know how strongly this decision impacts your plans, your business development, your customers, your partners as well as you employees. Nevertheless, we are convinced that this is the right path to take. What this means for you as an exhibitor at ProWein 2022:
The entire hall layout with 4-6 metre wide aisles, additional halls and the themed areas will remain the same. Your current exhibitor status for ProWein 2022 will, naturally, remain valid and your booked services will remain active in our online order system. Over the next few days, the deadlines alone will be adapted to the new event dates and you will be given the opportunity, as before, to book further services and communication measures.
