30.08.2025 - 31.08.2025, Campus Geisenheim University
Exciting days for young and old - experience how we shape the future
What impact will climate change have on our landscape, viticulture and horticulture? And how will cities become more liveable thanks to more greenery? How can we make food safer? And what opportunities do we have to make food production and logistics more sustainable? These are topics that move the world - and which experts at Hochschule Geisenheim University are working on intensively in research and teaching!
Take a look behind the scenes of applied research at the Open Campus: in our central laboratory and institute building, the technology exhibition, the greenhouses and in the globally unique FACE facility, where we investigate the effects of increased carbon dioxide concentrations on vines and vegetables.
In over 100 exhibitions, guided tours, tastings and hands-on activities, you can discover science with all your senses over two days. We invite you to discuss, be amazed and learn about all aspects of enjoyment, climate change, sustainability and digitalization in the green sector. Because transferring the knowledge we gain in research to you in society is our top priority.
Get to know our fields of activity at the various locations between vine breeding and technology on Eibinger Weg to the winery in Kirchspiel - and stay connected to Hochschule Geisenheim University beyond the Open Days: with an apprenticeship, an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, as a company in the green sector as part of a research project or through the wide range of courses offered by the Geisenheim Institute for Continuing Education for both practitioners and laypeople.
