The global spirits market has undergone a remarkable change over the past few years led by various trends. Consumers’ increasing health awareness is leading to a growing demand for low-volume or even completely no-alcohol alternatives.
Sustainability and transparency are also central topics, often coupled with the trend towards low-alcohol distillates. Brands that use eco-friendly manufacturing methods and ethically responsible ingredients are increasingly gaining traction among consumers.
In geographical terms this growth is driven especially by emerging markets in Asia and Latin America. At the same time, established markets such as the USA and Europe are dominated by innovations and experimentation, especially with craft spirits.
These developments illustrate the increasing diversification and specialisation of the spirits market, which is increasingly responding to consumers’ differentiated wishes.
ProWein 2025 will paint a comprehensive picture of these trends and the rise of low-alcohol products, in particular. Hosting the trend show “same but different” in Hall 7 and the new brand world “ProSpirits” in Hall 5, ProWein from 16 to 18 March 2025 in Düsseldorf will present itself as the world-leading trade fair for wines and spirits.
