15.01.2025 - What does the future hold for wine purchases at B2B trade fairs? In collaboration with Hochschule Burgenland, a master’s thesis is currently being developed on the topic “Relevant Types of Information for Wine Buyers at B2B Wine Trade Fairs.” As part of this project, a forward-thinking trade fair stand has been created together with the Portuguese community partnership, located in Hall 9, Stand 9D40. In addition to engaging masterclasses, the stand features an exclusive tasting area showcasing around 200 wines—each offering not only classic wine details but also comprehensive, business-specific information.
Visitors have the opportunity to scan their preferred wine via QR code on-site. This direct access leads to the exhibitor profile and the winemaker’s product overview, where details such as minimum and maximum order quantities, price range, delivery conditions, awards, bottle formats, and more are available. The concept is designed to support wine buyers in making informed decisions.
The concept will be practically tested at the fair, and following the event, interested visitors will have the chance to participate in a survey. The insights gathered will contribute to the ongoing scientific investigation.
