Just in time for the 200-year anniversary of Rheinhessen, Weingut STEITZ from Stein-Bockenheim – listed with two grapes in the Gault&Millau wine guide – is making a new start. The wine estate in the western part of Rheinhessen presents its 2015 vintage in a completely new design. This is yet another important milestone in its extensive makeover project, only months after Christian Steitz (44) finally completely took over the reins.
Besides the new markedly graphic lion logo, introduced in autumn 2015, the estate now presents the new label design: reduced, clear and elegant in the corporate colours turquoise and anthracite in combination with the distinctive STEITZ lion.
"With this comprehensive makeover we convincingly demonstrate that we Rheinhessen people have the courage to rethink things. At the moment we are redefining our wine estate from scratch, repositioning it for the future," says Christian Steitz.
The company website www.weingut-steitz.de has just been added to: All details regarding vineyard sites, the terroir, winemaking policies and so on – any information you might desire concerning the winery is now available 24/7, not only on computers but also on all mobile devices. “It is extremely important to us to offer our customers a modern website, both technically and graphically, which they can rightly expect to be up-to-date at all times,” Christian Steitz continues.
Naturally, such extensive alterations also impact the estate itself. A makeover of the architectural design of the ample premises including the vinotheque and a new office with a tasting area is in progress already. “Our wines offer premium value. We wish to express the same high value in our architecture and on our website as our electronical business card," Christian und Diana Steitz state, showing strong commitment to their ambitious aims. Suspense remains high in Rheinhessen!
