ProWein goes City” Kicks Off

Culinary Events plus, for the first time now, also Cultural Ones held in parallel to ProWein 2010

While the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will be welcoming trade visitors from all over the world to ProWein from 21 to 23 March, a whole host of enjoyable evening events will be held in the city on the topic of wines and spirits. This year will see over 30 restaurants, hotels and specialist retailers taking part in “ProWein goes City” jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf and Destination Düsseldorf. The initiative will be running for the fourth time now in parallel to the leading ProWein fair. Each year afresh restaurateurs and specialist retailers come up with new exciting themes to delight their many guests in and around Düsseldorf. This year wine lovers will have a range of some 50 events to choose from. Alongside wine tastings, special wine menus and vinophile parties, for the first time now there will also be wine-related cultural events, for instance a play and a cinema event on the topic of wine.

All events in the “ProWein goes City” programme have been consciously scheduled to start after the trade fair closes for the day. This means the viticulteurs from throughout the world exhibiting at the fair can be included in the initiative and develop interesting events for wine lovers together with their partners in the restaurant and retail trades. At the same time, “ProWein goes City” also offers all trade visitors a welcome opportunity to wind down after their day at the fair.

All those interested in finding out when and where the individual “ProWein goes City” events will be held should check the ProWein website from beginning of March: www.prowein.de.
