02/03/2011In December 2010 wine imports achieved 1,347 Mio. hl and 212 Mio. €. These results show in comparison to the data of December 2009 a decrease in volume by 2,1 % and an increase in value by 4,1 %. In December 2010 the average price was 158 €/hl.
03/02/2011In November 2010 wine imports achieved 1,104 Mio. hl and 214 Mio. €. These results show in comparison to the data of November 2009 an increase in volume by 2,4 % and a decrease in value by 1,3 %. In November 2010 the average price was 194 €/hl.
12/01/2011In October 2010 wine imports achieved 1,197 Mio. hl and 175 Mio. €. These results exceed the data of October 2009 by 18,4 % in volume and 2,8 % in value. In October 2010 the average price was 147 €/hl.
28/10/2010In August 2010 wine imports achieved 1,161 Mio. hl and 142 Mio. €. These results exeed the data of August 2009 by 10% in volume and 6,4 % in value. In August 2010 the average price was 122 €/hl. Within the period September 2009 to August 2010 wine imports sum up to 14,887 Mio. hl and 2,077 Bn. €. Special focus is put on the imports from Italy and South Africa.

This figure represents the import volume of wine worldwide and was published at this year´s general assembly of the International Organisation for Vine and Wine in Tiflis / Georgia. The share by continent of the world wine trade volume is as follows: Oceania 1,2 %, Africa 3%, Asia 6,4 %, America 17,8 % and Europe 71,5 %.
