Fair Match is the matchmaking tool of Messe Düsseldorf. The purely digital service supports you in searching and finding relevant business partners, simple appointment planning and direct communication via chat with other participants.
General information: Who can participate in Fair Match?
All visitors and exhibitors who register in the ticket shop will receive free access to Fair Match and can use the full range of functions.
General information: I am an exhibitor and am shown as a visitor in Fair Match. How can I change this?
If you are an employee at an exhibitor's stand, please redeem the exhibitor ID code. Afterwards you will be labelled as an ‘exhibitor’ in Fair Match.

General information: On which devices can I use Fair Match?
Fair Match is available via a desktop browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.) as well as on tablets and smartphones. The service is also integrated into the official event app for Android and iOS. Simply download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play App Store.
General information: Will Fair Match be available after the trade fair?
Yes, Fair Match will continue to be available as a communication platform after the trade fair. All functions, such as appointment coordination, will also be available outside the trade fair period.
General information: How are the recommendations made?
Recommendations are based on the best match based on the specified interests (visitors) and product categories (exhibitors). The more precise the details in the respective sub-levels, the better the contact suggestions will work. The details can be customised in the personal profile. The recommendations are updated automatically on a regular basis. Alternatively, the refresh button can be clicked to update the recommendations.
Profile: How can I view my own profile? What information about me is visible to other participants?
Click on the login symbol in the grey navigation bar at the top right and then on ‘My personal profile’. There you will find the button ‘View personal profile’.

Profile: Can I see who has visited my profile?
No, there is no overview of profile visits.
Profile: As an exhibitor (representative), how can I customise my product categories?
The product categories of your exhibiting company are defined when you register. To add more, please book product categories in the Online Order System.
Favourites: How can I set favourites and where can I find them again afterwards?
You can use the star to mark your favourites and find contacts relevant to you more quickly later under the menu item ‘My favourites’. There is no limit to the number of favourites you can save. You can deselect a favourite by clicking on the star again.
Favourites: Do people I have marked as favourites receive a notification?
No, setting favourites is only visible for your own overview. The people marked as favourites will not receive a notification.
Search/Filter: What can I search for?
You can search for all registered members in Fair Match via the ‘Search network’ menu item. In the search bar, you can search directly for the name of the company or a person. To refine your search, use the filter options on the left-hand side.
Search/Filter: What can I filter by?
Use the filter options on the left-hand side to narrow down the search results by user type, visitor interest, trade, area of responsibility, professional position, etc. As soon as you have selected a filter, the search results are updated automatically.
Search/Filter: How do I find the right visitors as an exhibitor?
On the left-hand side, filter the ‘User type’ by trade visitor and the ‘Visitor interests’ by your specified product categories. The overview will show you visitors who are interested in this/these category(ies). You can specify your search by selecting further filters.
Appointments: How do I know that the other person has accepted my appointment request?
You will receive a confirmation by e-mail and a note in the appointment overview in Fair Match. The date is blocked in the calendar of both participants.
Appointments: How can I postpone a meeting?
You must first cancel the meeting and then set a new appointment with the person.
Appointments: What happens if an appointment is cancelled?
The participants are informed of the cancellation by email. The appointment disappears from the appointment overview and the time slot is shown as available again for both participants.
Appointments: Can I invite more participants to a meeting?
The appointment module only works with individuals. However, you can inform other participants of the meeting point and time.
Appointments: In which time zone are the meetings?
The times given refer to the currently valid German time zone.
Appointments: Can online meetings also be arranged?
Please use your usual application for video meetings (e.g. Zoom, Teams etc.) and copy the link for participation into the ‘Location’ field.
Chat: Where is the chat available?
The chat is only available in the app.
Chat: How long does the chat history remain active?
There is no time limit. As long as both users are logged into Fair Match, the chat history remains active.
Chat: Can I share files in the chat?
For data protection reasons, only text messages can be exchanged in the chat.
Data protection and security: What data is stored in Fair Match?
Fair Match only stores the information that you yourself enter in your profile. Your data will not be passed on to third parties. For more information, see our privacy policy.
Data protection and security: Can I delete my profile and my data at Messe Düsseldorf?
You can cancel your participation in Fair Match and your personal data at any time. Please send an e-mail to privacy@messe-duesseldorf.de. All saved content from Fair Match and your personal data, including your account, will be irrevocably deleted.
Data protection. How can I unsubscribe from Fair Match?
If you no longer wish to take part in Fair Match, please send an e-mail to fairmatch@messe-duesseldorf.de. Please note that all saved favourites and agreed dates will be irrevocably deleted when you unsubscribe. Your personal profile will continue to exist, but will only be visible to you.

Yes, we attach great importance to data protection. Your data is processed securely in accordance with the applicable data protection guidelines.
