Recently, we have assumed the commercial management of the winery VIRXE DE GALIR located in Éntoma, O Barco de Valdeorras (belonging to the D.O. Valdeorras) and SANCLODIO located in Cubilledo-Leiro-Ourense (belonging to the D.O. Ribeiro)
Virxe de Galir is a family winery founded in 2002. The winery owns 18 ha of vineyards, the majority of which are on land with a gradient of more than 40% with slate soil, at a height of over 700 meters above sea level and in the area of Galicia with the greatest number of sunlight hours.
Sanclodio is a Ribeiro wine produced, according to the winery’s owner, the acclaimed filmmaker Jose Luis Cuerda, “with honour, knowledge and good taste.” From the first harvest in 2005, the wine has been produced following strict criteria that ensure its high quality, rather than its profitability. The vineyards are located, and called after the San Clodio monastery in Gomariz Parrish. A number of native grape species are grown here including treixadura (which covers two-thirds of the vineyard) godello, torrontes, loureiro and albariño. The resulting blending is an excellent, full of subtleties wine, which is a pleasure to smell and taste.
