This year we are proud to host the largest contingent of Australian wine producers in ProWein’s history. During the three days of the Fair you will meet the people behind 39 of Australia’s wineries, including many whose very hands created the wines you love. Of Australia’s 65 diverse wine regions, we have a range of wines from 30 regions across six states that proudly contribute to the mosaic of modern Australian wine today.
In 2015 Wine Australia is taking things to the next level and reinforcing the rising status of Australian wine. In partnership with Tourism Australia and its game-changing ‘Restaurant Australia’ campaign, we offer you food and wine matches with our daily feature tastings at 11:30am and 2:30pm.
From 2pm on Sunday in ProWein’s Forum (Hall 13), we are also hosting a Masterclass led by Wine Australia’s Global Education Manager, Mark Davidson, who will explore our theme of ‘History, Evolution, Revolution’. Through nine Australian wines, Mark will tell the story of Australia’s rich wine heritage, highlight the recent developments that have cemented Australia as a world-class wine producing nation and introduce some of the innovative techniques that will shape the wine trends of tomorrow. In an extension of this theme, we invite you to taste through a range of wines on our on-stand Focus Barrels, which include a selection of the wines from the Masterclass.
A full programme and list of exhibitors is available on our website http://wineaustralia.net.au/en-GB/prowein-2015.aspx
We are also delighted to welcome the Institute of Masters of Wine to our stand on Monday at 4pm where they will host a Masterclass with Sarah Jane Evans MW. The session will provide information about the MW study programme as well as a hands-on tutored tasting where attendees can learn more about how to taste like a Master of Wine including featuring six wines. Pre-registration is required as places are limited. To register please click under www.mastersofwine.org/en/events
