ProWein goes China: “ProWine Tasting Zone” in November in Shanghai

At FHC China 2012, China’s leading trade fair for imported food and wines held in Shanghai from 14 – 16 November, the leading international trade fair ProWein in partnership with the publishing house Meininger Verlag will be organising a top notch tasting and seminar range in the Wine & Spirits hall.

“Like no other event ProWein stands for the international variety and global trade in wines from throughout the world. China’s importers seek precisely this variety to be able to meet the growing demand on their market. At the “ProWine Tasting Zone” we bring the core expertise of ProWein together with local demand. At the same time, we are also taking a key step towards the internationalisation of ProWein in Düsseldorf,” explains Hans Werner Reinhard, Deputy Managing Director at Messe Düsseldorf and Chairman of Messe Düsseldorf China Ltd. The “ProWine Tasting Zone” covers an area measuring some 500m2 at “Wine & Spirits China”, the dedicated wine segment at FHC 2012. Reflecting the dynamic development of the wine market in China “Wine & Spirits China” represents the largest segment at this year’s FHC.

In the “ProWine Tasting Zone” there will be some 300 international wines for open tasting. Here Messe Düsseldorf looks to its many years of successful collaboration with the renowned publishing house Meininger Verlag. Winning wines of the Great International Wine Prize, MUNDUS VINI 2012 will be presented here. In addition to being introduced to the winning wines visitors can also expect a top-class seminar programme on topical themes in the wine industry.
