Liebherr will present wine cabinets for professional use in the hotel and restaurant sector at ProWein, the international wine trade fair taking place in Düsseldorf from 21 to 23 March 2010. The appliances on show will represent a cross section of the current wine range: multi-temperature wine cabinets for presentation and for serving wine by the glass, and wine storage cabinets for maturing wine in the ideal climatic conditions. The Liebherr booth will be in Hall 3, Stand Number E45.
Liebherr's extensive range of wine cabinets is tailored to hotel and restaurant requirements. By combining state-of-the-art refrigeration components, high-quality materials and perfect workmanship in every detail, Liebherr wine cabinets meet the highest of standards.
There are special challenges to be met in designing appliances that provide the ideal conditions for storing wine, and Liebherr has been rising to them in over 25 years of wine cabinet production. Liebherr uses specially mounted, smooth-running compressors to prevent vibration from impairing the quality of the wine. Fresh air is supplied through activated charcoal filters to protect the wine against the influence of odour from the environment. And UV rays that are harmful to wine are almost entirely reflected by the coated insulating glass of the glass-door appliances.
Wine is often the accompaniment to fine dining. The ideal serving temperature at which wine unfolds its full bouquet and flavour is critical for savouring wine at its best. If wine is served too warm the dominant taste is that of alcohol, masking the wine's complex fragrance. If wine is served too cold all the subtle aromas are lost and the acidity comes to the fore.
The multi-temperature wine cabinets of the Vinidor range allow independent temperature settings in two or three wine safes. In this way, red wine, white wine and champagne can be stored - each at its perfect serving temperature - in one and the same appliance. The wine cabinets feature pull-out shelves for upright bottles, offering sufficient space to store open bottles for serving wine by the glass. At the same time, they provide a stylish way of presenting fine wines.
Wine storage cabinets are the ideal solution for long-term wine storage or for keeping larger quantities at perfect drinking temperature. They can be set accurately to temperatures ranging between 5 °C and 20 °C and they maintain the selected temperature at a constant, uniform level throughout the interior.
A highlight at the Liebherr booth will be two events at which master sommelier Hendrik Thoma will talk about perfect wine storage and the importance of bringing wine to the right temperature.
To accompany the talk, wines from the world famous Italian wine estate Tenuta dell´Ornellaia, Bolgheri will be presented by enologist Axel Heinz.
