ProWein – International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits – has a new Project Manager: Klaus Henrich, aged 43, has been working in diverse departments at Messe Düsseldorf since 1996. For the last five years, he was Project Manager for guest events, and in this capacity had organised ElectronicPartner, TeleMesse, PSI (Präsent Service Institut) among others. Born in Cologne, he had gained a wealth of experience in exhibitions and trade fairs from 1989 to 1996 as Project Coordinator at Hasenkamp, the market leader in the field of art and exhibition and trade fair logistics. This personal change as head of the ProWein team took place as part of the company-internal change of Danila Avdiu heading the GDS (International Shoe Fair).
This position as head of ProWein is not a concept reversal. "Strategically, nothing will change at ProWein, after all, the existing concept is the secret of our success," Klaus Henrich clearly stated. "Of course we do not want to rest on the laurels of the last ten years - but with this tail wind, ProWein can be further developed to conform with market trends." In precise terms, this means that the consistent realisation of the trade fair concept will be continued, as will the existing product and service profile.
The correctness of the existing concept is reflected not least in the number of registrations received for ProWein 2004 (29 February to 2 March) to date. The six exhibition halls 3 to 8 are expected to play host to around 2,800 exhibitors.
