We have recently been awarded a both a Regional Trophy and a Gold medal in the 2013 Decanter World Wine Awards for our 2009 Nadja’s Vineyard Riesling.
We don’t normally toot our horn around awards but the Decanter World Wine Awards is the world’s leading wine competition. The competition is well known for its rigorous judging process, which has led to the Decanter World Wine Awards becoming the most authoritative source of wine recommendations for wine lovers worldwide. This year’s expert panel of judges included 75 Masters of Wine, and 13 Master Sommeliers. 219 judges from all around the world assessed 14,362 wines from 52 countries. Of these 156 were awarded a Regional Trophy (1.09%), 229 a Gold Medal (1.59%), 1665 a Silver Medal (11.6%), 4165 a Bronze Medal (29%) and 3658 a Commended Medal (25.47%). Seems we beat the odds and we are proud!
