Château des Tourtes Red Prestige 2011 was elected Coup de Coeur in Guide Hachette 2014.
"This charming 60 ha domain is a regular of the Guide. From a selection of 2.5 ha planted with Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is praised for its balance and harmony. Behind an intense, bright cherry colour, we find an open and elegant ripe fruit bouquet, married to a molten and spicy oak. The attack is frank and the mouth pleases with its roundness, its silky and coated tannins, its woody but respectful-of-the-fruit end, and a long, velvety finish. You should wait two or three years before opening the bottle on a delicacy: a beef fillet with morel sauce for example."
