Kumala New Vintage and Packaging
Kumala has benefited from strong marketing investment this year. The new 2008 vintage has already received press accolades for its improved quality, and the bottles now carry striking new labelling designed to create a cohesive, more premium look for the brand.
Banrock Station launches New Look
The new packaging of Banrock Station is designed to have a more premium look and greater shelf impact. The full range will be in screwcap bottles for convenience and to ensure consistent quality. The new branding will run across the whole range from Spring 2009 including core wines, 3lt box, 1lt ecomate, sparkling wines and the Reserve range.
The Nobilo Wine Group will show a selection of wines from the Regional Collection and the top Icon wines. This will be the first opportunity to taste the new vintages, including the Icon Sauvignon Blanc 2007 and Icon Pinot Noir 2007. Also worth tasting is the Regional Collection Sauvignon Blanc 2008, which was selected as one of Decanter magazine’s Wines of the Year 2008.
Echo Falls Spritz
Echo Falls is one of the UK’s fastest growing wine brands (worth £97 million* in just five years) and this tasting will be the first chance to taste the latest vintages. Last year saw the launch of brand extension Echo Falls Spritz, a blend of Echo Falls White Zinfandel and Chardonnay with sparkling water. This is a 4% abv wine spritzer aimed at the lighter drinking market – each bottle of Echo Falls Spritz equates to just one unit (UK) of alcohol per 250ml bottle.
New vintages of Twin Oaks and Private Selection will be available to taste, and new packaging for the Private Selection wines will be on display for the first time.
Ravenswood New Packaging
The 2006 vintage of Ravenswood wines carries new packaging to be launched later this year, designed to improve shelf standout and to differentiate more clearly between the three tiers in the range; Vintners Blend, County Series and Vineyard Designates. The new Vintners Blend and Lodi packaging with bright colours on the neck capsules and labels will arrive in Europe this Spring.
