Botero sculpture is the new attraction of Jardim da Paz
The impressive Jardim da Paz (Buddha Eden), the largest oriental garden in Europe, has now a Botero sculpture know as Male Torso.
Jardim da Paz (Buddha Eden) visitors have a new purpose to visit this amazing garden. Male Torso, dated from 1992, a bronze sculpture made by the Colombian artist Fernando Botero is on display at Bombarral.
Fernando Botero, a Colombian artist, achieved international acclaim and recognition for his emblematic renderings of the human and animal forms in large and exaggerated volume. His signature style is known as "Boterismo".
The private art collection from Comendador Berardo has another Botero artwork "Family Scene", an oil painting on canvas. This painting is display at Museu Colecção Berardo in Lisbon.
Beside this new Botero sculpture the visitors can also appreciate other Occidental Art pieces from Joana Vasconcelos, Alexander Calder, David Breuer-Weil, among others.
