A suitable range of wines for each channel of distribution

The food retail trade has a different range of wines for its consumers than a wine dealer or the sommelier of a multi-star restaurant. This is what forms the basis for structuring the Central Wine Tasting Zone at ProWein in Düsseldorf from March 21 to 23, 2010. Running under the motto “Wine in Business”, this the sector’s foremost trade fair will be the first to present red and white wines by their respective sales and distribution channels. It means that each visitor will be given an overview of the current international wine scene that is geared exactly to their specific needs. The Wine Tasting Zone will enable visitors to get their first bearings. Further details and further-reaching contacts can be found at the stands of 3,100 exhibitors at ProWein.

Special exhibition: organic and eco wines
Organic and eco wines are continuing their upward trend across all channels of distribution. The German magazine for the wine industry Weinwirtschaft from Meininger Publishers will add a further dimension to the Wine Tasting Zone, presenting top-of-the-range wines from its organic range.

Wine Tasting Zone gives foretaste to new trends in wine
The Central Wine Tasting Zone will be the most prominent landmark at ProWein. It will be set up in collaboration with the renowned publishing company Meininger Verlag and is totally unique in all its di-mensions. Year after year, about 1,000 international wines are avail-able for public wine tasting. Nowhere else do visitors have this opportunity to investigate such a comprehensive range of wines and to find out further details at their leisure. Each year about 80 per cent of ProWein visitors find some valuable orientation at the Wine Tasting Zone.

The forthcoming ProWein will be taking place in Düsseldorf from March 21 to 23, 2010. Over 3,100 exhibitors are expected to come from all the relevant wine growing regions in the world, as well as about 35,000 international trade visitors.
