25 years after the company was created, Manuel Costa e Filhos has now a third generation of entrepreneurs who will bet on the recognition of their brand through young, fresh and tasty vinho verde wines.
The company was founded in 1989 by Manuel Costa, as a result of the synergy between the knowledge and passion for wine. The filling of the first bottle makes the pioneering brand emerge: MinhaAdega. The acceptance and recognition of the wines quality make production and sales increase.
Currently, Manuel Costa e Filhos’ 7000-square-metre facilities include the production unit, the system of vinification, the laboratory and the warehouse. This place combines with 190 hectares of vineyards distributed by the municipalities of Resende, Cinfães, Amarante, Penafiel, Baiao, Marco de Canavezes, Felgueiras, Vizela and Arcos de Valdevez.
In 2010, the company started to export their wines in Europe: a key step in the international recognition of the vinho verde wine.
So far, Manuel Costa e Filhos have preserved their family-oriented business, progressing over time, combining tradition, knowledge and innovation. Today, part of their goal is to reach a young adult consumer willing to drink a fresh, fruity and tasty wine, a real vinho verde wine.
